Privacy Policy

TuneMundi is a radio app. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run it. You do not need an account, and we do not sell your personal data.

Information we do not collect

We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number, and we do not run our own user database. Your favorites, recent stations, listening history and settings stay on your device (and in your own iCloud, see below).

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud. In regions where required (such as the EEA and UK) we show a consent form from Google’s User Messaging Platform, and you can change your choice any time in Settings → Privacy choices. App Tracking Transparency

On iOS we ask permission before using the advertising identifier (IDFA) for personalized ads. If you decline, ads are non-personalized. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Song identification (ShazamKit)

When you use Song ID, or turn on Auto song ID, TuneMundi listens to the audio of the station that is playing (never your microphone) for a few seconds and sends a short audio fingerprint to Apple’s ShazamKit service to find the title and artist. Apple handles that request under its own privacy policy. Identified songs are saved in a history on your device (and in iCloud if sync is on). You can clear the history in the app.

Live captions (Pro)

Live captions turn the station's audio into text on your device using Apple's on-device speech recognition and Apple's Translation framework. The station audio is processed on your device only (not the microphone) and is never sent to us or to Apple servers for captions. The transcript is kept in memory only, is cleared when you change station or close the app, and is never saved or exported.

iCloud sync

If iCloud Sync is on, favorites, recent stations, identified-song history (up to 500 songs), theme and sound settings are stored in your private iCloud key-value storage so they appear on your other devices. This data is in your Apple Account’s iCloud; we cannot read it. Turn it off in Settings → iCloud Sync.

Diagnostics (opt-in)

Settings → Report a problem prepares an email to us. It includes your app version, iOS version and the station you were playing so we can help. Nothing is sent unless you press Send in your mail app.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. We receive no payment details.

Notifications, location and network

Notifications are used only for your alarm clock. The app connects to radio stations’ streaming servers, which can see your IP address like any website you visit.

Children

TuneMundi is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
